Mr. Pouliot is an extraordinary teacher. All four of our children have had Christopher as a piano teacher and we are now going on our 10th year! His gift is not only knowing and connecting with children, but he possesses the rare gift of being able to identify how each child learns. Mr. Pouliot personalizes his teaching method according to each child/person’s unique needs. He teaches with compassion, yet holds the students accountable and sets the bar high believing that a child can attain this life long skill!
Chris has been teaching my two sons piano for the past 6 years and he has been an amazing piano teacher. He has kept the lessons fun, while at the same time pushing them ahead to become better pianists. Chris knows how to deal with each child’s personality. In their weekly practices, Chris has instilled life lessons which help them way beyond piano playing. They have made so much progress and he makes it enjoyable for them by letting them choose pieces they enjoy playing. The annual recitals have given my boys confidence in performing in front of an audience as well as a sense of pride in accomplishing it. Chris is a patient teacher and always shows up with a smile. Regardless what mood my boys are in when Chris shows up for the piano lesson, his positive attitude ensures that they will make the most of their piano lesson time. He is very accommodating with the weekly piano lesson schedule and has worked with me to make adjustments to the schedule when need be. I have been very fortunate to have Chris as a piano teacher for my two sons.
Chris has an uncanny ability to cultivate my children’s interest in classical music, and motivate them to become the best pianists they can, by taking their other interests into account. Chris is a consummate professional, my children respect him, and look forward to their lessons every week. The instruction they receive from him is on par with what they would receive from the city’s most esteemed conservatories. We couldn’t be happier.
